At the heart of the system is a coded microchip transponder or tag which is designed to be hidden inside the motor cycle main parts ie frame or wheels ect.

the tags require no power source and they are so small they are easy to conceal .

How does it work?

Like all good ideas datatag is very simple, each tag is pre-programmed with a unique serial number. When it is fitted to your motorcycle and you complete the registration form the serial number is registered on the datatag computer along with the legal owners name and address.

There is no charge for the storage of this information which is linked to the police through datatags private computer system.

If your motorcycle is stolen and recovered with the identification marks missing or altered, the police using a hand held scanner can read the unique serial number and verify ownership of the vehicle.

In addition , the kit includes a number of etching transfers for ,fairings, panels, mirrors etc. to act as visual deterents.
